Russian and Eurasian patent attorney with years of expertise, he has pursued many patent and utility model applications for Russian and foreign companies in different industries.
For more than 10 years Mr. Pinchuk worked at the State Patent Office starting from a position of an expert in the All-Russian Scientific and Research Institute of the State Patent Examination (today — the Federal Institute of Industrial Property) — up to the deputy head of examination department and further — to a leading specialist of the High Patent Chamber of the Russian Intellectual Property Office (now it is Chamber for Patent Disputes — a department of RU PTO responsible in particular for patent oppositions and invalidations trials). Thereafter, he worked as a patent attorney focusing on patent drafting and prosecution in several fields of art including mechanics, aviation, automative, electrical equipment and telematics in one of the major Russian patent firms for 8 years and after that in a major foreign patent firm based in Russia.
Qualification
Yuri Pinchuk holds a M.Sc. degree in Aviation Mechanical Engineering from the Moscow Aviation Technological University. His further experience as a research engineer in the Central Scientific and Research Technological Institute gave him knowledge and practical skills and became a good start for further career. Mr. Pinchuk obtained a postgraduate degree in patent expertise from the Soviet Institute of Patent Expertise (now known as the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property).

Mr. Pinchuk is a member of the Russian Chamber of Patent Attorneys and AIPPI.
