«Patents and Licenses» magazine has published an article by the partners of «A.Zalesov & Partners» Patent & Law Firm Aleksey Zalesov and Irina Ozolina - «Divided from the divisional and the initial application» (in Russian).
The authors of the article touch upon a topic related to the practice of patenting in Russia through divisional applications. It is noted in the publication that the current Russian legislation does not clearly regulate the institution of divisional applications, and therefore, in practice, there is a misunderstanding of the procedure for determining priority for a divisional application, as well as which application is the initial one for the purpose of establishing priority.
