A new article by Aleksey Zalesov for «Intellectual Property. Industrial Property» magazine

On 20 August 2024, the Arbitration Court of the Primorsky region issued a decision refusing to bring to administrative liability the client of «A.Zalesov & Partners» for infringement of a series of trademarks for lack of confusion despite some similarity.

On 12-14 September 2024, Voronezh became a venue for the traditional Legal Forum of Masters, which gathered over 900 participants from more than 20 cities of Russia and the nearest foreign countries. Irina Ozolina moderated the «Patent Wars and Other IP Disputes» section.

On September 18, 2024, the Russian government approved the amendments to the Regulation on patent and other fees for legally significant actions related to intellectual property objects. The amendments will come into force on October 05, 2024.

On August 15, 2024, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation issued a ruling according to which the judgements of three court instances were overturned. The case was sent for a new trial, in which the right holder confirmed its exclusive right to the heroes of the Blue Nose Friends Characters series only by an affidavit signed by the CFO. Irina Ozolina commented to the Attorney’s Newspaper on the significance of the Court's clarifications for judicial practice and representatives of the parties.

The draft of amendments about voice regulations has been submitted to the Parliament, according to which it is proposed to supplement the Civil Code with an article on «Protection of a person's vote». Irina Ozolina commented on the proposed draft amendments for the Attorney’s Newspaper.

«A. Zalesov & Partners» represented the interests of BIOHIMIK, JSC before the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service in a case for violation of Article 14.5 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.
