«Law and economics» magazine has published an article authored by the Managing Partner of «A.Zalesov & Partners» Patent & Law Firm Aleksey Zalesov - «Evolvement of law: from literary property to сopyright (XV–XIX centuries), and its causes» (in Russian).
The author considers the formation and development of the copyright in some countries, the establishment of mechanisms for the legal protection of literary compositions starting from the XV century. The article describes the reasons of evolvement of copyright from a literary owner-publisher to intrinsic, inalienable copyright of an author-creator and discusses the criterion of a «creative character» in a literary composition.
