January 18, 2020 the Ivanovo Regional Court's ruling entered into legal force confirming amicable settlement of the court case, where the Hungarian pharmaceutical company «Gedeon Richter» filed a patent infringement lawsuit against «Teva» LLC (Russian subsidiary of «TEVA Pharmaceutical industries» Ltd., Israel), a client of «A.Zalesov & Partners» Patent & Law Firm. The lawsuit claimed injunction and destruction of all the medicines «Model 911» (comprising levonorgestrel as pharmaceutical active ingredient) imported to Russia. The plaintiff also applied twice for preliminary injunction against importation of the product. At first, «A.Zalesov & Partners» Patent & Law Firm successfully defended the client from the preliminary injunctions and managed to retain the favorable first instance court's rulings, rejecting the preliminary injunctions claims in the courts of appeal and cassation appeal (the IP Court). Then the parties of the dispute reached an agreement to settle the dispute amicably on the mutually favorable conditions. The client was represented by a Senior Partner Irina Ozolina and Senior Associate Vladislav Ryabov of «A.Zalesov & Partners» Patent & Law Firm. The court case number is А17-2219/2019 and the case materials are available on the court's web-site.
