On February 04, 2020, Rospatent issued a decision, in which agreed with the arguments of «A.Zalesov & Partners» Patent & Law Firm, that the patent RU 2240848 for the invention «Fire Extinguishing Composition» complies with patentability requirements. The invention in question was a ground for a series of patent disputes between two Russian manufacturers of fire extinguishing equipment: «Kalancha» LLC, whose interests were represented by patent attorneys of «A.Zalesov & Partners» Patent & Law Firm, and «Plamya» LLC, who has already filed two invalidation actions. The first action claimed the lack of novelty of the invention, meanwhile the second — the lack of inventive step. In both cases, the validity of the patent was defended.
