On May 31, 2022, a regular meeting of the Quality Council of Rospatent took place. Aleksey Zalesov, Managing Partner of «A.Zalesov & Partners» Patent & Law Firm, took part in the meeting.
Among the matters brought up for discussion were such issues as assessing the registrability of designations when registering trademarks, the position of the Russian IP Court regarding the possibility of granting protection to a previously registered designation of origin, the possibility of confusing a consumer in case of registering a certain designation of origin and some others.
