On April 26, 2022, the President of the EAPO Grigory Ivliev held a meeting with patent attorneys at the headquarters of the Eurasian Patent Office. The meeting coincided with the International Intellectual Property Day.
The participants of the event discussed the latest news of the organization, including the extension of sanctions to it. Georgy Ivliev stressed that despite the fact that the European Patent Office, the US Patent and Trademark Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office have suspended certain cooperation activities with Rospatent and EAPO, the exchange of patent information between offices is maintained.
The agenda was also focused on the discussion of the procedure for obtaining patents for industrial designs, the EAPO Pharmaceutical Register, the development of electronic services of the organization, as well as changes in fees.
Eurasian patent attorneys spoke at the second part of the event. Aleksey Zalesov, Managing Partner of «A.Zalesov & Partners» Patent & Law Firm was among the speakers.
Partners of «A.Zalesov & Partners» Maria Makhlina and Natalia Samsonova and patent attorney Julia Dutikova also attended the meeting.
