Starting from January 17, 2021, all patents and certificates shall be issued by Rospatent in the form of an electronic document and on paper only at the request of the applicant. At the same time, for applications filed before January 17, 2021, a hard copy of a patent or a certificate will be issued together with an electronic document. For applications filed after January 17, 2021, the issuance of hard copies of patents and certificates will be carried out only at the request of the applicant submitted before the state registration of the object. Additionally, from January 17, 2021, new data of information will be added to the patents for inventions, utility models, industrial designs and trademark certificates, there will be no additional annexes and inserts. The applicant will be provided with an extract from the State Register containing all the information previously contained in the annexes and inserts. 3D models of inventions, utility models, products claimed for state registration as industrial designs, and designations claimed for registration as trademarks may be submitted in a file attached to the application while submitting applications in electronic form, as well as on an electronic source while submitting applications by mail or directly at Rospatent office.
