On the amendment of the official fees for Eurasian applications and patents for inventions

On May 24, 2024, the Federal Service for Intellectual Property refused to grant protection to the industrial design under international registration. «A.Zalesov & Partners» team eliminated the reason that served as the basis for the refusal decision and achieved the withdrawal of the Rospatent decision.

Starting from February 01, 2025, the Eurasian Patent Organization raised certain fees for Eurasian applications and patents for inventions, including fees for filing applications, conducting examinations, amending and modifying documents, filing appeals, extending missed time limits, restoring rights, etc.

On December 12, 2024, the Fifth Arbitration Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the Arbitration Court of Primorsky Region, which refused to hold administratively liable an importer of children's construction sets, which included a toy in the form of a «mini-man».

Starting from January 09, 2025, the Eurasian Patent Office applies the changed rates of fees for maintaining Eurasian patents for inventions in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

The Board of the Chamber for Patent Disputes ruled to satisfy the objection of «A.Zalesov & Partners» team against the grant of Russian patent for the invention «Herbicide composition».
