On November 10-14, 2020 the II International scientific-practical conference «Intellectual rights: challenges of the 21 century» took place under the auspices of the National research Tomsk state university. «A.Zalesov & Partners» Patent & Law Firm assisted the conference as a sponsor and by providing its partners as speakers and a moderator. Due to the COVID epidemic situation the conference was held online which allowed to broaden the audience — about 1300 unique viewings from 16 countries — as counted by YOTUBE. The conference permitted to discuss different sophisticated issues of the Russian and International IP practice by the top IP practitioners from government and private practice.
The topic of the second day of the conference was «The ways of design protection». Irina Ozolina gave the presentation on problematic topic of 3D trademarks. In particular Irina Ozolina elaborated on the ways of proving of the acquired distinctive character for 3D trademarks.
Dr. Aleksey Zalesov served as a moderator of the third conference's day covering the issue «Industrial property right».
