In April 2023, the Government of the Russian Federation submitted a draft law to the State Duma, which proposed changes to Art. 1252 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. The draft law provides for the allocation in the fourth part of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation of a special article 12521, devoted to the specifics of compensation, as a measure of civil liability.
On June 27, 2023, the draft law was adopted by the State Duma in the first reading.
