On September 23, 2026, the Moscow Arbitration Court fully dismissed the claims of the Swedish company AstraZeneca AB against the Russian pharmaceutical companies Geropharm LLC and AZT Pharma K.B. LLC.
The drug Flodapi contains dapagliflozin as the active ingredient and is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus and related conditions. It is included in the List of Vital and Essential Medicines.
The plaintiff demanded a ban on the production, sale, and other introduction into civil circulation of the medicinal product Flodapi (INN: Dapagliflozin), the implementation of actions aimed at registering maximum selling prices for the medicinal product in the Russian Federation until the expiration of additional Russian patent No. 2746132 (May 15, 2028), and the seizure and destruction of manufactured copies of the drug.
