«A.Zalesov & Partners» took part in a business breakfast for patent attorneys organized by the Moscow Innovation Cluster Foundation

Maria Makhlina, Natalia Samsonova and Julia Dutikova took part in a business breakfast for patent attorneys organized by the Moscow Innovation Cluster (MIC) Foundation at the site of the Lomonosov cluster, part of the Innovative Scientific and Technical Center of Moscow State University «Vorobyovy gory».

On April 28, 2026, Maria Makhlina took part in the session “R&D in the cosmetics industry: biotechnology, innovation, ingredients, raw materials for the production of perfumery and cosmetic products”, organized within the framework of the international exhibition Global Ingredients Show, and spoke on the topic “Features of intellectual property protection in the cosmetics industry”.

Anastasia Zalesova explained that the initial adoption of the Federal Law «On Experimental Legal Regimes in the Sphere of Digital and Technological Innovations in the Russian Federation» was prompted by the rapid development of new legal relations in the field of innovative technologies, where traditional legal regulation mechanisms hindered their development or made their emergence and functioning virtually impossible.

On March 25, the Supreme Court issued Ruling No. 307-ES25-15203 in case No. A56-79150/2024, clarifying the nuances of calculating compensation for infringement of exclusive intellectual property rights. Julia Kolomytseva, Senior Associate at «A.Zalesov & Partners», gave her comment to«Attorney’s Newspaper».

One of the «A.Zalesov & Partners» client's competitors filed an objection to the grant of a client's patent for a composition for regulating sexual activity in small domestic animals. Rospatent upheld the objection and declared the patent invalid in its entirety. However, during the dispute's review in The IP Court, «A.Zalesov & Partners» team was able to prove the illegality of Rospatent's conclusions.

On March 27, the Russian IP Court invalidated the decision of Rospatent regarding the refusal of state registration of the designation for certain goods in Class 5 of the Nice Classification related to pharmaceuticals.
