Darya Kushnarenko and Julia Kolomytseva, senior associates at «A.Zalesov & Partners» Patent & Law Firm, prepared a traditional overview of legislation and judicial practice, as well as intellectual property protection trends in 2025, for the «Opinions» section of the «Advocate’s Newspaper».
The overview notes that in 2025 there have been observed developments in law enforcement, and particularly judicial practice. Numerous issues related to intellectual property were raised, including unfair competition and public and municipal procurement. Judicial practice in the area of compulsory licensing has been actively developing.
The issues of patent infringements and means of individualization, as well as liability for such infringements, remain relevant.
