On July 13, 2023, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation issued a ruling regarding case No. 5-KG23-47-K2 related to the transfer of exclusive rights for musical works created in collaboration.
Irina Ozolina, Senior Partner of «A.Zalesov & Partners» Patent & Law Firm, gave her comment on the conclusions of the Supreme Court. The advocate noted that the dispute under consideration raises a range of escalated issues in the field of intellectual property protection, since intellectual property experts have noted the need for a claim for non-infringement of exclusive rights for a long time.
