On 12-14 September 2024, Voronezh hosted the traditional Legal Forum of Masters, which gathered over 900 participants from more than 20 cities of Russia and the nearest foreign countries.
Senior Partner of «A.Zalesov & Partners» Patent & Law Firm Irina Ozolina, chaired the «Patent Wars and Other IP Disputes» section as a moderator.
The panelists - in many respects unique experts in IP disputes - discussed various non-standard ways of defense in such disputes, in particular, claims for prohibition of obstruction of business activities, claims for protection of business reputation as an alternative to claims for non-infringement of exclusive rights, disputes for recognition of the right to one's own trademark and other non-standard claims, as well as advantages and disadvantages of the emerging judicial practice of rejecting claims for prohibition of actions committed by the infringer.
According to the feedback from colleagues, the section was one of the most lively ones, as the issues discussed were topical and aroused high interest of colleagues practicing in the field of intellectual property rights protection.
