On the influence of anti-sanctions measures to IP in Russia

Effective February 01, 2026, the Eurasian Patent Organization will increase certain fees for legally significant and other actions related to applications for Eurasian patents for inventions and industrial designs, and Eurasian patents for inventions and industrial designs.

«A.Zalesov & Partners» defended the interests of the patent holder in a dispute on invalidating a patent relating to the production of a medicinal product with the INN «Insulin Glargine» for the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes due to an incorrect indication of the author.

The Moscow Arbitration Court ruled in favor of the client of «A.Zalesov & Partners» in the case filed by AkselPharm LLC against the FAS of Russia on the invalidation of the decision of the FAS of Russia as well as of the order of November 20, 2024, in Case No. 08/01/14.5-67/2024, regarding infringement of Article 14.5 of Federal Law No. 135-FZ «On Protection of Competition» of July 26, 2006.
