We are glad to announce that Anna Kakurnikova has joined our team.

Anna graduated with honors from the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics with a degree in jurisprudence in 2004. She worked in a number of large Russian manufacturing enterprises and was engaged in registration and protection of their intellectual property rights both in Russia and abroad. She is a registered Russian patent attorney.

In 2009-2019, Ms. Kakurnikova represented the interests of foreign companies in civil, administrative and criminal cases related to the suppression of the production and sale of counterfeit products on the territory of Russia.

Anna considers her main achievements to be the actual recovery of multimillion-dollar compensations for the illegal use of the trademarks, as well as contribution to the formation of judicial practice on the suppression of counterfeiting in criminal and administrative cases throughout Russia.

In our opinion, the work on suppressing the civil circulation of counterfeit products as well as the work on conducting trademark infringement disputes require different skills, knowledge and even a temperament. Theoretically, a lawyer who assists manufacturers in fighting imitation should be a qualified specialist in intellectual property law as well as in administrative and criminal proceedings, with some qualities of a detective.

We welcome Anna to the team and wish her success in developing the practice!
