«T2 Mobile» has filed two lawsuits with the Moscow City Arbitration Court against PJSC «Vimpelcom» (operator of «Beeline») seeking to protect its exclusive rights to the «Mix» brand. At the heart of the dispute is the alleged similarity to the point of confusion and the borrowing business model is the aggregated digital subscriptions market.

«T2» is developing a Mixx multi-subscription, which offers its users bundled access to leading digital platforms: online cinemas, electronic and audiobook services, and music platforms. According to the plaintiff, in March 2026, it was discovered that «Beeline» had created its own multi-subscription service with a similar name and functionality - aggregated access to online cinemas. Also, to support its position, the Plaintiff cites the fact that the defendant renamed its «Popcorn» app to a name that, in the opinion of «T2», is confusingly similar to its trademarks.

Representatives of T2 Mobile point to the risk of a decline in customer demand for its product and insist that «Beeline» is exploiting the brand recognition that the company has developed over four years of large-scale advertising campaigns. According to the plaintiff, the competitor's multi-subscription service is not an original creation, but only a copy of the already created successful brand «Mix» from «T2».

If the court rules in favor of T2 Mobile, the defendant may be ordered to pay compensation equal to twice the revenue generated by the disputed subscription. The outcome will largely depend on whether it can be proven that the names are indeed confusingly similar and who was the first to start using the brand.
