On April 2, 2026, the Tenth Appellate Commercial Court issued a ruling that upheld the decision of the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region in a dispute concerning the protection of exclusive rights to the client's trademarks, including the well-known trademark «Reduxin».
The Court of Appeal confirmed the correctness of the lower court's findings regarding the proven violation of the rights in the «Reduxin» trademarks, on the confusingly similar designation «Reduslim», and on the excessive amount of compensation collected from the defendants.
The dispute arose from that the defendants sold dietary supplements and weight loss tea using the designation «Reduslim» on various marketplaces. It was not possible to resolve the dispute with the defendants at the pre-trial stage, and this was the reason for bringing a claim for infringement of the client's exclusive trademark rights.
The Court accepted the claimant's arguments regarding the confusing similarity between the «Reduxin» and «Reduslim» brands. Taking into account the evidence provided by the parties confirming the volume of goods sold, the Court awarded compensation in the amount of 1,400,000 rubles from three defendants.
By its ruling, the Court of Appeal upheld the decision and dismissed the appeal.
The client's interests in this case were represented by Senior partner Irina Ozolina and Senior associate Julia Kolomytseva.
